CEE Professor Branko Kerkez Awarded 2026 Provost’s Teaching Innovation Prize (TIP)

CEE is proud to announce that the Rackham Graduate School has awarded Branko Kerkez with the 2026 Provost’s Teaching Innovation Prize (TIP).

The Provost TIP recognizes faculty who have developed creative pedagogies and innovative approaches to student instruction. By introducing innovative approaches to handling the challenges and opportunities posed by Generative AI tools, Professor Kerkez’s project, Problem First, AI Second: Teaching Agency in the Age of Agents, has helped students develop skills to handle the challenges and opportunities that accompany AI without compromising the deep thought and focus that accompany learning environments.
